Meet Our Expert Panel:
Dr. Norton, MD, FACS, RVT, RPVI

Dr. Norton has been a surgeon in Denver since 1989. Dr. Norton’s practice specializes in treating vein disease. In 2003, she established the Denver Vein Center and Aesthetic Laser Specialists, where diseases of veins, specifically varicose veins and spider veins are treated using minimally invasive techniques with the newest available lasers and technologies. From 2008-2017, Dr. Norton was the medical director at Saint Joseph Hospital Breast Care Center. She focused on the care of patients with breast cancer and breast disease. Dr. Norton was one of the first surgeons in Denver to begin using the technique of sentinel lymph node biopsies. Dr. Norton has now moved her Breast practice to Rose Medical Center where she continues to provide quality care for her patients.
Vicki Ralph, MPPA, OTR/L, CLT-LANA

Vicki has also served as a course instructor for Klose Training and Consulting since 2010. She teaches both the Lymphedema Therapy Certification and Orthopedic Swelling Solutions courses all over the USA.
Calisse Weidner, Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist
and Personal Trainer
Calisse began her fitness career as a group exercise instructor in 1995, and gained certification as a Personal Trainer in 2005. The Cancer Fit Program, a cancer exercise program which began at the Trails in 2004, is now called “Journey to Wellness,” and involves the fitness areas of water, land and flexibility. Calisse enjoys teaching and training in thewater because of the therapeutic aspects of water, and the relief that our participants feel while exercising in the water.
Mitchell D. Achee, M.D.
Dr. Achee is a current patient of Jaime West, MS, PT, CLT (a PT with Fit Physical Therapy). Dr. Achee underwent radical pelvic surgery including pelvic and abdominal lymph node dissection in 2011, left hip replacement surgery in 2016, and developed Stage 2 lymphedema in May of 2018. Dr. Achee and Jaime West, MS, PT, CLT, started Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) in June 2018. Dr. Achee provides a unique patient perspective to this panel, both as a medical professional and as a lymphedema patient.
Jaime West, MS, PT, CLT

Jaime West has been a Physical Therapist for over 30 years since graduating from the University of Southern California with a MS in Physical Therapy. Jaime completed specialized training in treating clients with lymphedema and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). She has training in breast cancer rehab and is excited to be a part of the newly formed Trails Recreation Center “Journey to Wellness” program for cancer patients and survivors. These techniques can also help those with post injury or surgical edema, chronic swelling, sinus congestion and headaches.
Dr. Emily Kelly, PT, DPT
Dr. Kelly graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Integrated Physiology. She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. She treats a variety of orthopedic conditions and emphasizes manual therapy including soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization/manipulations, and dry needling in combination with exercise and home exercise programs to assist in the healing process.
Dr. Kelly believes in the importance of patient education regarding pain in order to empower her patients toward functional independence. She enjoys teaching patients that their habits outside the clinic make a tremendous impact on their recovery.
