Jamie Grigsby, PT, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Jamie earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2016. Prior to Physical Therapy school, Jamie received a Bachelors degree and a Masters of Music degree from the University of Iowa and University of Colorado, Boulder, respectively. Through her years of teaching private piano lessons, she became interested in working with injured keyboardists. This work ultimately led her to the field of physical therapy, where she felt she could utilize her unique background in addition to her physical therapy training to help others recovering from various injuries return to the activities they love. Her practice encompasses treating orthopedic impairments with an emphasis on manual therapy, kinesiotaping, and ensuring an individualized home exercise program. Jamie also has special interest in working with the upper extremity and hands and is working on fulfilling requirements for obtaining her certificate in hand therapy (CHT). Currently, she is the Membership Coordinator for the Academy of Hand and Upper Extremity for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Beyond the clinic, Jamie continues to enjoy various music endeavors, spending time with her husband and three children, and spending time outdoors.
